If I wasn’t a yoga teacher I’d be... working in the magic of the movies. That's what I was doing for 8 years until a Yoga Teacher Training changed my mind about what I wanted to do. I believe that I'm still making magic in people's life, but through yoga :D
My training style is... based in Ashtanga, Mandala Vinyasa, Rocket and Yin Yoga. I love challenging and sweaty classes so my mind doesn't wonder and really feel the deserved Savasana. My tendency is to be relaxed and become lazy so I need that push from a dynamic Yang practice. I also love Yin, to bring the balance and release the tension and the blockages. It's a different challenge and really helps to cultivate stillness and prepare the body and mind for meditation.
My favourite place in London for a stiff drink is Stoke Newington Church Street.
My favourite hobbies (that doesn't involve chaturangas and a yoga mat) are... rock climbing, capoeira, salsa dancing and ridding my inflatable unicorn.
My ideal breakfast is a fresh juice blended with avocado and almond butter on toast with a drizzle of honey.
The song that’s in heavy rotation on my workout playlist... Man on the Moon by Klangkuenstler. For my Yin Playlist, always Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds and Ludovico Einaudi.
My favourite time of day is…sunset and sunrise. Specially if the sky has a bit of clouds so it gets dramatic, facing the ocean and in a good company.
If I were an element, I’d be… water. We all have the 4 elements, water, earth, fire and air but my predominant is Water. I'm adaptable, struggle with boundaries and I'm too emotional. If something goes really, really wrong I have to cry even if just for 30 seconds, than I can think and act. I cried on John Lewis Christmas adverts so yes, I'm emotional!
My favourite on the go snack is… protein bars from Pulsin. Vanila and Choc are the best.
My biggest release is….in a Yin Yoga practice. Coming out of twisted roots after holding it for 5 min. It's a massive release on my back, sometimes gets emotional and can come out of it in tears... It's a love/hate relationship with twists.
You wouldn't know that I…worked in Interstellar, a Christopher Nolan movie that won an Oscar and a Bafta award for best Visual Effects in 2015.
My biggest vice is…avocado on toast with tomato, salt, pepper and a bit of olive oil. Avocado, always avocado...
