Here I share my version of homemade anti-stretch marks cream.
Anti-stretch marks creams are expensive and short-lasting, so I've researched how to make one at home, with natural and organic ingredients. It's so easy to make and it really works. I used it during my first pregnancy, my skin was super moisturized and it's an essencial add-on on my second pregnancy. If your skin is dry, you can really use it all over your body.
INGREDIENTS
Shea Butter - This is a "super food" for the skin that deeply moisturizes, cures, and helps skin regeneration.
Cocoa Butter - This is a high quality emollient, very moisturizing for the skin.
Coconut Oil - Helps to heal tissues and soften the skin.
Vitamin E Oil - This quality ingredient promotes healing and is an antioxidant.
Lavender essential oil (optional) - Has anti-inflammatory properties and a relaxing and good smelling effect.
- Place the mixture in a non-stick pan and stir gently until melted.
- When the mixture is melted, whisk and remove from heat.
-Add 10 drops of lavender essential oil and whisk again.
-Leave to cool and whisk again for a creamier texture.
-Store the cream in an airtight container, preferably amber glass to protect from light.
Massage the cream regularly into any area where you want to avoid stretch marks. I recommend the front and sides belly, breasts, upper thighs and buttocks. The texture of the cream may vary with the temperature. Before placing on the body, let the cream melt in your hands.
